Beasts

Uzodinma Iweala has won the John Llewellyn Rhys prize for young writers, for Beasts of No Nation.

Well done to Uzodinma, at least something positive is being reported about the talent of a Nigerian, indicating there are some Nigerians not involved in passport scam (lol).

One thing though, am I missing something or has Michelle Pauli (Guardian UK) committed a blunder? In his introduction of Uzodinma, he claimed that the young man splits his time between Washington and Lagos, where his mother is currently Nigeria's finance minister.

I hope he gets his facts right next time ...

Wow, I'm impressed. I'm yet to read his book though...hopefully by the end of this year.
